2-render Fantasy Test #4 (update)

* updated with another test (the far right one) after adjusting some materials. Olympia may load with decent materials for realistic renders, but you'll want to adjust them for more fantasy ones. In a "real render", I would try to make the edge lighting on that right one (which is done using velvet materials) match the background colors (which means I'd probably paint it).

Here's another test that briefly explains the light settings and render combination I used in this example. I'm not all that satisfied with this, but I thought at the very least, it can show that you do not need to use complicated lighting (or even particularly bright lighting) to end up with a colorful fantasy render. Photoshop is where the magic happens, not your 3D software.  

So far I've done four tests using this technique; the first was decent, the second (one of Smacky) was great, the third (one of Lust) was not that good, and this one. Results are still unpredictable, but considering I'm not using any of my more advanced postwork methods (masking materials, actually painting anything by hand, etc), I still think I'm on the right track.
